Magashi Camp is a new and luxurious safari camp in the far north of Akagera National Park, Magashi Camp is situated in the productive and phenomenally diverse north-eastern corner of the Park, overlooking beautiful Lake Rwanyakazinga. Magashi offers exclusive access to vast tracts of Africa’s best wildlife areas, creating a unique sense of seclusion, comfort, privacy, and space.

Day 1 :

Day 1: Arrive at Kigali Airport

Arrive at Kigali International Airport, where your private Luxury Rwanda Gorilla Adventure safari guide and driver will take you and your party to your accommodation in Kigali. Your guide will take you on a Kigali city excursion if you arrive early in the day.

Day 2 :

Day 2: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park – Iwacu cultural village

Start your second day of your private Luxury Rwanda Gorilla Adventure after an early breakfast. Take a country road trip northwest to Volcanoes National Park, where the mountain gorilla flourishes. If you didn’t have an opportunity to visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial, this could be done in the morning before heading into the countryside.

Arrive in the afternoon and check into your forest lodge – time permitting, we proceed for a village cultural village, which is a great place to get a cultural insight into Rwanda’s people.

Day 3 :

Day 3: Gorilla Tracking in Volcanoes National Park.

Early Morning Breakfast and packed lunch, we set off to Volcanoes National Park trailhead for the gorilla trekking briefing, a cup of Rwandan coffee or tea, and some delightful Intore dancing performed for you. This is the day you get deep into the Luxury Rwanda Gorilla Adventure highlight and rewrite your memories about the African jungle.

Before setting out for the African jungle trek, you will need to be closed in long trousers, a long-sleeved shirt, light rain jacket, hat with a wide brim, gardening gloves to pull yourself up on branches, hiking boots with good traction that are worn in. The gorilla trek itself is between 3 and 5 hours or longer, and it is well worth it and the experience of a lifetime for you. Simply a most amazing and most memorable experience, and you will have that experience twice, in two different countries and locations.

Day 4 :

Day 4: Optional Second Gorilla Trekking Experience

Experience is crafty; psychologists say that experiencing an activity more than once is more memorable than a single event. This Luxury Rwanda Gorilla Adventure gives you a chance to explore that claim and take on the gorilla jungle for the second time. You can leave the camera and any other distracting thing back at the lodge for the second time gorilla trekking and get deep into the jungle feel.

After an early breakfast, we again proceed to the park headquarters trailhead, where you shall again be briefed about the dos and don’ts while trekking these gentle creatures for the second time. Each day is a new day in the wild, and today we shall be tracking a different gorilla group. Remember, each family’s behavior differs from the other, so this is another memorable moment. In the afternoon, relax at the lodge.

Day 5 :

Day 5 – Transfer to Kigali airport for the international outbound flight

After breakfast, check out from the lodge at leisure and transfer to Kigali international airport to check in for your international flight.
